A Humble Abode.

without comments

Just a short post. I found a new apartment for next year with roommate George.

Should be a killer time…minus the distance we must travel to get to school.

No pictures right now, camera is soaking wet from finding the house…had to walk over an hour in pouring rain. It was awesome.

love you mother nature.

Royalty & Don’t Judge Me

without comments

It’s been a while since a post and ALOT has happened!

Last Thursday my sister and I went to a Family Channel Red Carpet event for Princess Protection Program or something. Don’t judge me, I had nothing better to do. I snapped pics of the “celebs” that I knew and missed some shots I wanted. I was too embarassed to ask for a picture hah, so all mine are creeper shots.

NOTE: This post has ALOT of pictures. So it might be slow.

We ate extreme pita for lunch. Delicious.

ppp 1 (1)blt pita. the best.

We walked so far to the Queen Elizabeth Theatre or wherever that I thought my feet were going to fall off.

Movie Moments. First Edition.

without comments

A few days ago I had the chance to watch Mona Lisa Smile. First off, let me say I was surprised at the number of celebrities in this movie. To name a few, (all the ones I know) Maggie Gyllenhaal, Julia Roberts, Julia Stiles, Kirstin Dunst, Topher Grace and Ginnifer Goodwin (who can be seen in ‘He’s Just Not That Into You’)  First off, I’d like to say that I throughly enjoyed this movie. Set back in the days of the 50′s I think, Julia Roberts plays a teacher at…a university I cannot recall the name of. Anyway, the mindset at this institution is that a woman’s role in life is to become a wife. Roberts’ character has a much different view of things compared to these women and her teaching methods display this.

My main reason for this entry, is the surprising similarities I saw between this and Gossip Girl. The girls who attend this university are quite snobby and extremely stuck up. The main similarities I saw were between Kirstin Dunst’s character and Blair Waldorf. She feels that she is in control of the class and is able to boss around the teacher and tell her ‘how things are done around here’ This is an identical incident that occurs with Blair and Ms. Carr. My other similarity is between the mothers in the movie and Cici? or Sisi…Serena’s grandmother. They feel that they know what is best for their daughters and that everything in their lives is essentially laid out for them by the older women.

Not much else, definitely a good movie, didn’t know many movies with J. Roberts until now and I quite enjoy them. Also, I didn’t realize how attractive Maggie Gyllenhaal is, especially in Stranger Than Fiction. (Minus the recent paparazzi shots of her breastfeeding in public, kinda not my thing)

Weather’s look nice. Rain coming tomorrow.
