My recent obsession with Gossip Girl has led to my interest in Ed Westwick/Chuck Bass‘ fashion sense as well as Leighton Meester‘s singing ability.

I was already a Cobra Starship so maybe it’s just prejudice, but I am a big fan of this song and her singing ability.

To make sure she was more than a one-song girl, this video seals the deal.

I am thoroughly impressed.

PS. She plays a wicked Blair Waldorf.

I got this little facebook-note-like-thing from this person Katie. Check out her blog here. http://thisisapastiche.blogspot.com/

let us begin.

What is your current obsession? It was Gossip Girl/Chuck Bass…but that’s over. So I’d have to say…learning domestic skills. Cooking & sewing.
What is your weirdest obsession? I guess the above is a weird obsession, but reading blogs & about le fashion would fit in either.
What are you wearing today? I wore my cut-off jean shorts, white slipons, white tee, my new vest & my UO hat (sweet). Now i’m just in my bathrobe.
Why is today special? Well, its not? In 1 week we will have a new dog. I will hopefully have found my apartment and I walked home today. That was key.
What would you like to learn to do? I want to learn to sew so I can sew in tags for Static and make sweet clothes too. As well as learn to bake/cook because being a chef is a dream.
If you could meet a fictional character (books, movies…) who would that be? Oh damn. Chuck Bass, Jack Sparrow, Mulan, House and Disney’s Robin Hood.
What’s the last thing you bought? My vest, blazer, tank top and dress shorts in Buffalo. Maybe some Subway if that counts.
What are you listening to right now? Dance Gavin Dance, but lots of IACAS, Folie a Deux and Bedlight for Blue Eyes too. And this song at the bottom
What is your favorite weather? Spring. Warm enough for a tee, cool enough for jeans. Not hot enough that you sweat, but you can wear a hoodie comfortably.
If you could have a house totally paid for, fully furnished anywhere in the world, Where would you like it to be? NYC or Europe, somewhere like Tuscany or England. That would be dope.
Favorite vacation spot? Only ever been to Venezuala so there! Haha. I’d like to go to China/Japan/HK, Paris, London, NYC, Milan, Australia and…the Carribean. So pretty much the usual tourist spots! But like stay there for a month each to kinda see everything.
What would you like to have in your hands right now? A sweet new camera, my new shirts I ordered, and a bag of M&M Peanuts.
What would you like to get rid of? The holes in my underwear. My inability to talk confidently. My habit of biting my nails.
If you could go anywhere in the world for the next hour, where would you go? London, England cause that would just be rad.
Which language do you want to learn? Japanese, improve my French, British (with an accent if that counts) and maybe Spanish.
What did you dream of last night? I don’t even remember but lately my dreams have been awkwardly weird and random.
Who do you want to meet in person? Marc Jacobs, Johnny Cupcakes, Bobby Hundreds, Ed Westwick, Jessica Szohr, Meg Ryan, my soulmate.
One thing that you would snitch out of someone’s closet, with no regrets? I haven’t really been in anyone’s closet so its hard to say. If they had some wicked shoes or a trenchcoat, I really want one of those.
What’s your favorite piece of clothing in your closet? My new hat. I love it and wear it all the time now. Or maybe my Pegleg Crewneck, its pretty amazing too.
What is your dream job? I have a few. Animator at any major studio, own my own clothing line aka Static, Gourmet Chef, anything really successful. Those are the ones I actually have an interest for.
Personal aspirations at the moment: Finish my to-do list, learn to sew, get a job.
If you had a time machine, which time would you like to revisit? Pre high school so I could re-route my life.

great great song i heard on the radio. classic.

The most recent in shoe news, in my opinion, would be Kanye West and his impact on the shoe community. From a Luis Vuitton collaboration series to his set of Air Yeezy’s with Nike, he has taken the majority of the attention for shoe lovers.

A key style of shoe, less noticed but slowly working to make a comeback is the boat shoe, or deck shoe. This classic shoe is coming back just in time for the summer season. The shoe, perfect for warm weather and for your boat or deck, is both a dressy and casual shoe.

Even companies such as Timberland are hopping on the bandwagon while the style is still hot.

I have become a big fan of the boat shoe, although I have yet to get my own pair. A classic look with these shoes includes with khaki or cotton pants or shorts. This look usually goes quite well with the shoe and if you roll up your pants, you achieve a more casual look ideal for the beach or days on the boat.

Finally, even Chuck Bass wears them. And he’s awfully classy & styling.

hairy.

I couldn’t think of a creative title involving ‘hairy’.

This post is basically about short hair on girls.

Two summers ago there was a CNTM marathon on TV so I decided to watch it. I became hooked on wanted Sinead Brady to win. I never got to see her before her hair cut, but she looked really pretty.

When I had tuned in, she had already gone over her ‘makeover’ and got a buzzcut. I loved it.

Okay, well I remembered a buzzcut, but apparently it was just really short. After that I thing I realized I really liked short hair on girls.

It often helps to be really pretty to begin with but I have seen it on other girls and still enjoyed it. It seemed like it was a big deal when Natalie Portman got her head shaved for the movie ‘V For Vendetta’, but frankly, I still think she looked amazing.

The more I paid attention to the hairstyle known as the ‘pixie-cut’, the more I noticed it’s prevalence among celebrities.

I think it takes a few things to be able to pull of short hair and I believe that more important than good looks, confidence is required. Resembling more masculine is often last on the list of beauty tips for women, yet in some cases it turns out much better than planned.

So, for girls considering a hair cut…do it. Its timeless and looks great.

So I was so excited to bake my cake. Little did I know…I can’t actually bake! Within 10 minutes I screwed up, burning all the white chocolate. After throwing a hissyfit I waited all day to go to Metro to buy more chocolate.

This time with the help from Mom I was more successful…but still failed. The cake was nasty, we didnt bother wasting ingredients on the toppings and I threw the remainder out today. It resembled a giant pancake, while staying moist/wet and über sweet.

So earlier this year…let’s say February my laptop’s battery kinda died. It became negligent to charge and just kinda died whenever it wanted to…usually 20 minutes into usage sans A/C Adapter.

I finally called to get it replaced on Monday. Amazingly the battery arrived from Apple in under 24 hours, i was astonished. Also I was not home, so I didn’t get it until today. Fedex is too far to go pick it up so I had to wait all day in the house for it. I was afraid to shower cause if he came during my shower, i would never get my battery haha.

But it finally arrived. Success!
