The Death of my Camera
Sunday was a fine day to go fishing. We headed out to Port Perry at 6 am, deathly early for myself. I actually set my alarm for 5:30 pm so my brother coming into the house and waking me up at 6:00 left me with no time to prepare! I scrambled to get dressed and grabbed my camera, gameboy (for the essential pokemon blue escapades) and my iPod. After wolfing down a banana we hit up the nearest Tim Horton’s to get some real food. I myself opted for a sesame seed bagel with some milk. Delicious. With I Am Committing A Sin‘s EP Grow Past Their Promises blasting from our Red Toyota Corolla, we set out to Scugog Lake (or something named like that).
After an hour and a bit of driving we passed the first potential spot, we noticed it was crowded. We headed through Port Perry to Caesaria? Not quite sure of the name but it wasn’t too crowded. The boat launch was home to quite a few boats taking off in the early morning. Anyway, we sat on the docks fishing for a few hours. After much fun, some snacks and the envy of those chinese men who seemed to catch a fish every 45 seconds we all managed to catch a fish! (each) The only downside was at one point as I tried to take a snazzy picture of myself doing the lazy man fishing maneuver, my rod slipped. I tried to grab it with my right hand! But, alas. The camera fell into the green abyss of the lake, never to be seen again. I was instantly rattled, angry and thought my day was ruined! Nothing was going to make this day any better, except lunch. My dad offered to buy me a new one for my birthday, but I still wish for furniture for my new apartment.
Anyway, after the fishing part of my day came to an end, we headed into town to grab some eats. Nothing is more delicious than wings. Maybe so, but I was starving. The attractive waitress did not make the meal any less enjoyable, that’s for sure. Although, being in a bar the washrooms were like interior outhouses, overwhelming the entire facility with its powerful odour.
While at home I tried out Killzone for Ps3, maybe # 2, not sure. It rained. I ripped it up on my brother’s new ripstick. I mourned my loss of a camera. I would have had awesome pictures too.
rain sucks.

In 13 days my younger half, escapes the life of a pre-teen and turns the ripe age of 13. For this monumental day I had to get him something super cool. Something that will show everyone that he has officially grown out of his younger years and younger habits. What better way than to get him a cool toy or two?
After eyeing the Kid Robot website for awhile, looking at new releases and older pieces, I had my mind set on getting a few pieces for myself. But, as luck would have it, my bank account didn’t contain enough money to quench my thirst for some awesome toys AND get my brother an appropriate gift. I had to be selfless and put my desires on hold and so, I ordered a couples pieces for Thomas.
When I got home today this large parcel waited for my on my doorstep. I eagerly brought it upstairs to my domain, forgetting that it was purchased solely to give to my brother.
I took it quickly to my room and opened it to find the gift bag I had paid a premium for. By the looks of it, it was worth it because I will be keeping the bag for myself for sure! If you look closely, it almost seems like the strings on the bag are shoelaces.
Now, when I had ordered the toys I had known they were 3 inches. I was fully aware of how much 3 inches was, I guess my assumptions of what the size of the box were completely wrong, especially judging by the size of the box and bag.
I was stifled.
I’m so excited.
In other news, probably a contributing factor to the fact that I couldn’t purchase my own pieces of plastic perfection, is that I recently ordered these amazing boots.
They should arrive this week. Too excited. Here are some new ones to be released in the future.
enjoy your summer. the months are here, why isn’t the weather?

Back at Camp!
Today was my first day back at camp, my summer job. It’s training week so nothing too hardcore. Just some soldering, Lego, wooden catapults and eating my sandwiches.
Oh. And I was moving some wooden boards around outside and found a mouse. It ran away, I yelped.
Good times.

Any Given Sunday
So as usual, today was very laidback. I biked to Roger’s to try to get a new battery cover for my cellphone. Fail. Going to try to find one on eBay I guess.
Went to the library to grab some books, going to try to read one book per week this summer. Try to be productive I guess.
I also hit up Starbucks and Shopper’s Drug Mart for some Jones Soda and magazines. More good reads.
THIS is how cool I am.
get cracking on that reading!

Newest Family Member – Rosie
So we got a new dog! (we’ve had her two weeks today). She is quite cute and quite awesome. For the first week she smelled of perfume from the breeder’s home. Now she reeks of dog. It’s okay though, we still love her.
here is a fitting song for thomas.

Cooties and Sand
Today I stumbled upon two sweet videos. I’ll post them here.
The second is a sand art presentation, which looks to be done at a “Russia’s Got Talent” or something similar.
The artist tells a story of war through 1941-1945 along with the music.
Amazing stuff.
