The Death of my Camera

without comments

Sunday was a fine day to go fishing. We headed out to Port Perry at 6 am, deathly early for myself. I actually set my alarm for 5:30 pm so my brother coming into the house and waking me up at 6:00 left me with no time to prepare! I scrambled to get dressed and grabbed my camera, gameboy (for the essential pokemon blue escapades) and my iPod. After wolfing down a banana we hit up the nearest Tim Horton’s to get some real food. I myself opted for a sesame seed bagel with some milk. Delicious. With I Am Committing A Sin‘s EP Grow Past Their Promises blasting from our Red Toyota Corolla, we set out to Scugog Lake (or something named like that).

After an hour and a bit of driving we passed the first potential spot, we noticed it was crowded. We headed through Port Perry to Caesaria? Not quite sure of the name but it wasn’t too crowded. The boat launch was home to quite a few boats taking off in the early morning. Anyway, we sat on the docks fishing for a few hours. After much fun, some snacks and the envy of those chinese men who seemed to catch a fish every 45 seconds we all managed to catch a fish! (each) The only downside was at one point as I tried to take a snazzy picture of myself doing the lazy man fishing maneuver, my rod slipped. I tried to grab it with my right hand! But, alas. The camera fell into the green abyss of the lake, never to be seen again. I was instantly rattled, angry and thought my day was ruined! Nothing was going to make this day any better, except lunch. My dad offered to buy me a new one for my birthday, but I still wish for furniture for my new apartment.

Anyway, after the fishing part of my day came to an end, we headed into town to grab some eats. Nothing is more delicious than wings. Maybe so, but I was starving. The attractive waitress did not make the meal any less enjoyable, that’s for sure. Although, being in a bar the washrooms were like interior outhouses, overwhelming the entire facility with its powerful odour.

While at home I tried out Killzone for Ps3, maybe # 2, not sure. It rained. I ripped it up on my brother’s new ripstick. I mourned my loss of a camera. I would have had awesome pictures too.

rain sucks.
