Back To The Books

without comments

So I am going to try to actually blog again.

I’ve started reading again. A while ago I bought a coupon for Indigo/Chapters at a discount from Kijiji‘s daily deals. I didn’t know what I wanted to buy, but decided to get two books; Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami and What I Talk About When I Talk About Running, also by Murakami.

I already finished the book this break and I really enjoyed it. It’s essentially a memoir of Murakami preparing for the New York City Marathon back in 2007. It’s interesting to hear about how he started running, why he kept it up and how it relates to his writing career as well.

Reads

without comments

In the last 3 days I read these two books. Choke by Chuck Palahniuk, and a novel on the story of Facebook. It was super interesting and hilarious to see that everything they planned, functionality-wise is exactly how it turned out and exactly why people hate Facebook; it rules their lives.

The more books I read, the more books that seem to get added to my list of books to read.

Upper Class Snob

Last night/this morning I decided that I want to start reading some classic books as well as just good ones in general. I have assembled a list from a variety of blogs, people and stores and hope to read a handful of them this year at least.

Here’s a snapshot of what my October looks like, hopefully, if I can stay focused on reading as well as school that is.

My quest to become well-read starts today.
