Style Basics # 1

In no way am I qualified to provide much guidance in this area as this is mostly a culmination of lots of readings of GQ, Vogue, etc.
I’ve noticed a few things when people are dressing up formal or business casual at school and they annoy me.
A couple pointers.
Never button your bottom button on a suit. This is a rookie mistake and just embarrassing.
*Exception* On a single button suit.
Baggy is ugly/sloppy. Suits, shirts or pants alike – its not a good look. Go to a tailor or shop in your size please.

Wild

I recently got a new belt and hunting vest. They have me excited to go explore the outdoors.
My belt reminds me of Alexander Supertramp’s from Into The Wild. It even has an extra hole the previous owner punched themselves.

The vest came with a handful of guitar picks too.
why am i such a loser?
In case you can’t tell, I fill in my glasses sometimes cause my eyes are messed. no biggie.

Arts & Crafts
So I couldn’t sleep tonight so I decided to make a blog post.
In the past, my closet used to be riddled with black clothing and not much else. Over the past few years as my clothing collection has easily more than tripled, the color range that is known as my closet has greatly expanded.
Pictured here is roughly 50% of my t-shirts sorted into colors (light & dark), whites and blacks. As you can see the colored piles are already much bigger than the black & white piles. Keep in mind this is only tees and not my sweaters etc.

As for during the day today…I decided to create my own denim shorts. So….since I didn’t take pictures of the process, here are the jeans as reconstructed…

Here are the jeans in pieces and a little up-close of the frayed look I am trying to get eventually.

Overall it was…mildy successful. I think I’m just not used to wearing them yet.
Lastly, listen to Meiko. I’ve taken a keen liking to this artist and she’s really good.
