Binballing.

To start off the updates, a few weekends ago my brother and I decided to play some intense basketball. Not that I was ever good, but I hadn’t played in so long I lost in 21…to my twelve year old brother. It was embarassing.
Living Dead
Okay, so I kind of died for a few weeks…many many weeks actually but I’m back. I have been too lazy really to do anything but I guess I will start updating again.
Let’s start with my most recent current event…I bought a sweet new hat. Check it out.

Yeah. So I went to Toronto on Friday to check out this “Passion for Fashion” thing that YES and TFI are hosting…it seems interesting. Workshops don’t start til August so I’ll be sure to check those out.
I also got this nice headband from American Apparel. They were hiring so the place was packed with people applying. It was funny to see how many people came wearing American Apparel clothes and how many actually had no sense of style.

Originally I only planned on buying the headband…but the sale on the hat at Urban Outfitters was irresistable so I splurged.
In other news, I will start posting some of my exciting summer event pictures here. (like now)

Back Pockets
Today was my first day sewing. It was pretty awesome…I got my mom to teach me. I fixed up some holes in my hoodie and what not.
Later I went to my Dad’s for a barbecue. I wanted to take a bunch of pictures of it…but it was raining. As well I spent most of my time walking back and forth from Metro, the grocery store, trying to find the $25 I dropped that was supposed to be for pop. My dad was pretty angry at me, but luckily spared another $20 so that I could actually BUY the pop this time. I was trying to be cool taking random pictures while we walked there. Nothing special really turned out.

Apparently there are solar-powered street lights in Oakville now.

A bit of the selection of candy I tried to buy, before losing the funds.

Family Fun…
Tonight was Family Badminton Night at my old high school. I decided to go play with my mom, brother and his friends. Nothing really special although I am remarkably sore.
Thomas (my brother)

Mom.

My brother’s friends…they were tired from me schooling them so they took a break.

The gang of cool kids & rebels…who thought they were bad-ass stealing the free granola bars.

Arts & Crafts
So I couldn’t sleep tonight so I decided to make a blog post.
In the past, my closet used to be riddled with black clothing and not much else. Over the past few years as my clothing collection has easily more than tripled, the color range that is known as my closet has greatly expanded.
Pictured here is roughly 50% of my t-shirts sorted into colors (light & dark), whites and blacks. As you can see the colored piles are already much bigger than the black & white piles. Keep in mind this is only tees and not my sweaters etc.

As for during the day today…I decided to create my own denim shorts. So….since I didn’t take pictures of the process, here are the jeans as reconstructed…

Here are the jeans in pieces and a little up-close of the frayed look I am trying to get eventually.

Overall it was…mildy successful. I think I’m just not used to wearing them yet.
Lastly, listen to Meiko. I’ve taken a keen liking to this artist and she’s really good.
